Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky Gives Back – The Forgotten Louisville #CKCares

Over the last 45 years, Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky has made a mark on Louisville.  As part of the celebration of our 45th Anniversary this year, our firm would like to bring some much-deserved attention to some local charities that are also making a mark on our community.  Each month, we will spotlight one of these charities via our social media as part of our “CK Cares” giving back campaign.  Our employees will be collecting needed items for these twelve local organizations and we hope that once you know the tremendous good they are doing here in Louisville, you will do what you can to help these organizations, too!

First up is The Forgotten Louisville.  This charity serves our community by providing hot meals and a variety of services including providing season-appropriate clothing and supplies for the homeless.  It’s easy to forget that so many of our most vulnerable citizens are lost, lonely and hurting.  The Forgotten Louisville not only provides the material things these people need to survive, their volunteers also build relationships and work to bring dignity and love to those who have so little of that.  Sue Lennon, in our office, introduced us to this group where she and her husband regularly volunteer.

In this arctic January weather, we thought some warm hats, gloves and socks would be welcome, along with some hand and feet warmers.  Our staff has been collecting these items and creating packets to hand out to the less fortunate residents of our community this month.  If you’d like to learn more about The Forgotten Louisville, please check out their web page here – https://theforgottenlouisville.org/ and see if there is a way you can volunteer or donate to help them help others.
