Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky Gives Back – Dare to Care #CKCares

Over the last 45 years, Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky has made a mark on Louisville.  As part of the celebration of our 45th Anniversary this year, our firm would like to bring some much-deserved attention to some local charities that are also making a mark on our community.  Each month, we will spotlight one of these charities via our social media as part of our “45 Things” giving back campaign.  Our employees will be collecting needed items for these twelve local organizations and we hope that once you know the tremendous good they are doing here in Louisville, you will do what you can to help these organizations, too!

March’s worthy organization is DARE TO CARE.  Dare to Care is a nonprofit organization who helps fight area hunger through programs targeting the most vulnerable citizens in our community.  These programs include Kids Café, Backpack Buddy, Prescriptive Pantry, Mobile Pantry, Cooking Matters and a variety of initiatives to reach senior citizens.  Dare to Care partners with nearly 300 local social service agencies to distribute food to our community.  In the past year, they have provided 19.9 million meals to our community.

This month, our staff has been collecting canned food for Dare to Care.  We’ve made it more fun by using this month’s charity to do a ‘canstruction’ project.  Building an oversized etch-a-sketch with a “45” on it!  In the course of doing so, we’ve collected quite a few cans that didn’t make the ‘canstruction’ cut, but all of these are being donated.  We are proud to give to an organization who has been able to do so much to help hungry kids and senior citizens in our community.  If you’d like to learn more about Dare to Care, please check out their webpage here – https://daretocare.org/  and see if there is a way you can volunteer or donate to help them help others.
