Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky Gives Back – Catholic Charities #CKCares

Over the last 45 years, Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky has made a mark on Louisville.  As part of the celebration of our 45th Anniversary this year, our firm would like to bring some much-deserved attention to some local charities that are also making a mark on our community.  Each month, we will spotlight one of these charities via our social media as part of our “45 Things” giving back campaign.  Our employees will be collecting needed items for these twelve local organizations and we hope that once you know the tremendous good they are doing here in Louisville, you will do what you can to help these organizations, too!

July’s worthy organization is CATHOLIC CHARITIES of LOUISVILLE.  Catholic Charities’ mission is to provide services for people in need through a number of programs including their Sister Visitor Center (restoring hope to the poorest and most vulnerable among us), Common Earth Gardens (improving the quality of life of refugee families through agricultural opportunities), Language Services (building bridges through communication), Bakhita Empowerment Initiative (providing help to victims of human trafficking) and many others.  Catholic Charities of Louisville was established in 1939 and has worked directly to help families in our community, as well as partnering with organizations such as Dare to Care, Habitat for Humanity and others.  Their deep commitment to social service in their community is admirable.

This month, our staff has been collecting toiletry items for Catholic Charities’ Sister Visitor Center’s “Baskets of Hope” campaign.  The Sister Visitor Center provides refugees with essential basics during their transition.  We are proud to give to an organization who has been worked so tirelessly to do so much to help refugees in our community.  If you’d like to learn more about Catholic Charities’ mission, please check out ways to volunteer or donate here – https://cclou.org/give-back/
