Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky Gives Back – Ronald McDonald House #CKCares

Over the last 45 years, Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky has made a mark on Louisville.  As part of the celebration of our 45th Anniversary this year, our firm would like to bring some much-deserved attention to some local charities that are also making a mark on our community.  Each month, we will spotlight one of these charities via our social media as part of our “45 Things” giving back campaign.  Our employees will be collecting needed items for these twelve local organizations and we hope that once you know the tremendous good they are doing here in Louisville, you will do what you can to help these organizations, too!

For June, our brokers and staff selected the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE of Kentuckiana for our monthly charity recipient.  The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families of children receiving healthcare at area medical facilities. Our local Ronald McDonald House opened in 1984 and, with the help of volunteers, community partners and generous donations, has been taking some of the stress away from families with seriously ill children by providing them with a place to stay while they are dealing with the medical treatments necessary to keep their children alive.

This month, our staff has been collecting individually packages snacks (chips, granola bars, fruit leather, etc.) to provide a quick treat for the Ronald McDonald House guests when they are on the go!  We’re so happy to shine a light on these unsung heroes in our community.  If you’d like to learn more about the Ronald McDonald House of Kentuckiana, please check out their webpage here and see if there is a way you can volunteer or donate to help them help others.
