Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky Gives Back – Nativity School #CKCares

December 17, 2018

Over the last 45 years, Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Kentucky has made a mark on Louisville. As part of the celebration of our 45th Anniversary this year, our firm would like to bring some much-deserved attention to some local charities that are also making a mark on our community. Each month, we will spotlight one of these charities via our social media as part of our “45 Things” giving back campaign. Our employees will be collecting needed items for these twelve local organizations and we hope that once you know the tremendous good they are doing here in Louisville, you will do what you can to help these organizations, too!

In honor of the holiday season, December’s worthy organization is the NATIVITY ACADEMY.  In 2003, the Nativity Academy at St. Boniface was established as an independent private middle school in the Catholic tradition to educate urban youth. The Nativity Academy transforms the lives of students who have a commitment to achievement and whose families demonstrate financial need. The Academy seeks to impart to its students the highest spiritual ideals, moral values, knowledge, learning skills, discipline, character formation and personal care.

The staff provides unwavering motivation and support, and encourage each student to realize his or her full potential as a productive member of society, and as a leader and role model in family and community. Each student receives the opportunity for a private middle school education that will enable him or her to pursue an excellent secondary education leading to college, technical school, and a professional career. Since inception, 82% of Nativity Academy graduates have enrolled in college or post-secondary education, and 97% of the students graduate from high school, maintaining the high standards of our fellow Coalition intuitions and exceeding the national average.

This month our staff pooled together their money to purchase books that the Nativity Academy had on their Amazon wishlist to help stock their library. These books will help not only current students at the Nativity Academy, but students for years to come!
